Both Partners in Phoenix VP come from a background in education and our first love is working with young people.  Our speciality is providing training and equipment which allows the group to have a thoroughly hands on film making experience throughout every stage of the production, from scripting and story boarding the ideas, through the shooting process to editing and authoring the finished DVD.  This is an extremely satisfying process, encouraging team work and creativity and allowing the groups to work on and learn about professional equipment.

Phoenix VP have been involved in a varied range of community projects around the Highland area over the last six years, and have a varied and wide experience of many different types of group and project.

Whether your group are interested in learning about film craft and want to make something entirely fictional, or they want to focus on an issue in order to learn more or raise awareness, Phoenix VP have the skills and experience to tailor a project to meet your exact needs and your budget.

Thanks to the Phoenix team's unique experience and speciality in working with young people all of our projects major on the hands-on approach.  The team encourage young people to get their hands on the equipment and start to familiarise themselves with it and learn new operational skills and confidence from the outset.  Participants can use cameras, sound recording equipment, lights and professional editing software project and soon become proficient and confident in their new skills.

 The Phoenix VP team can provide your group with training in many different aspects of the film making process, regardless of their previous experience and abilities.  Costuming has the very satisfying advantage of an end product which will last long after the shoot is complete - providing a stock of costumes for the group or a lasting memento of their achievements.  The Phoenix team have the equipment and the know-how to get your group fitting, pinning sewing and transforming their project in just a few snips!

Special Effects Make-up and Make-up for the screen are also very popular skills with many of the groups we have worked with, and rightly so when the results can look as heart-stoppingly good as this!  From war wounds to zombies, we've turned our hands to many effects for the screen.  Phoenix VP can provide water based, hypoallergenic products which are safe and non-staining.  This will allow your group to be trained in application techniques and get their hands dirty!
