Phoenix VP are primarily a creative business and take the opportunity whenever possible to work on independent projects. This gives us the chance to enjoy the potential of Digital Video to it's fullest extent as well as allowing us to provide opportunities for local talent and participate in local festivals. If you think you might like to get involved in Digital Video locally please do get in touch. There are always opportunities for undiscovered local talent to get involved in projects locally with Phoenix VP, and we don't ask for any experience, just enthusiasm. Phoenix VP believes in allowing local people to experience new media first hand and in the Highlands, whether it be as a new hobby or the first step to achieving a new career. Old or young, digital video has potential to involve whole communities.

In 2009 the Phoenix production "In Case of Monsters" was shortlisted in the Edinburgh Napier University short film competition and took second place in the professional category at the Film G awards. The piece is adapted from a poem by welsh poet Stephen Knight and features a mix of live action and animation in the style of Neil Gaiman's "Mirrormask". Featuring artwork by Claire MacDonald, Jane Bregazzi and Fraser MacDonald and a musical score by Mick Cooke, the piece is an exciting step into this medium.
Following on from the success of "Monsters", the Phoenix team have an exciting new project up their sleeves, but as it is all in the very early stages you will have to watch this space for news as the project gets underway...!
As a team we aim to shoot at least three independent, self funded shorts every year, the next will be going into production soon and you could join our team. No experience is required, just enthusiasm and some free time! Go to our contacts page now if you are interested!
