PHOENIX VP is a partnership born out of a long working relationship between Kirree Seddon and Cathey Reece.  Both Cathey and Kirree have a passion for film and a desire to produce creative and innovative videos, backed up by a combined twelve years of experience in digital video production and of working in communities and with young people.

The Phoenix VP team use high quality recording equipment and top of the range editing software to bring to you a product of broadcast quality with the capability of producing high class animations and menus within your requirements.  The partnership are also qualified to high professional standards:

Final Cut Pro is Apple's High Definition editing software, allowing Phoenix VP to create broadcast quality edits of all footage.

DVD Studio Pro works alongside the editing software to allow Phoenix VP to design and build professional quality DVDs.

Motion is an animation quality graphics software with unmatched 2D capabilities, finding many uses within digital media.

As well as both being trained to degree level in theatre and media, Cathey has a postgraduate qualification in Screenwriting from Edinburgh Napier University and Kirree is TQFE qualified and has specialist training in sound recording and editing from the School of Sound.

Both Kirree and Cathey are also certified by the Institute of Leadership Management and have the training and ability to manage projects and to pass on leadership skills to project teams.  The team are also trained and experienced in project risk assessment, health and safety, first aid at work and child protection - both holding a current Enhanced Disclosure Scotland certificate. 

Equipment and Capabilities

Phoenix VP have three fully equipped editing suites, two of which are portable and can be used on site as a teaching tool with groups.  The team also have two Canon XM2 digital video cameras which are fully insured for hands on use on location with groups.  The Phoenix team have a combined eight years of experience and are able to train participants in the use of tools and equipment as part of a project, as well as produce materials independently.
